The <br />Administration explained the need to make a Request for Proposals. <br />Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 7:20 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Schumann and Kearney; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Limpert and Williamson. Council President Jones. Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance <br />Copfer, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, <br />Director of Planning & Development Lieber, Road Foreman Demaline, Assistant <br />Maintenance Superintendent at the Waste Water Treatment Plant Ramsey, IT Network <br />Administrator Lundberg, Vice President of Service for Harrington Electric Robinette and <br />guests. <br />• In addition to the two items reported out on at the Special Council Meeting on <br />,lune 11. 2019 the committee discussed Ordinance 2019-64. An Ordinance <br />amending the rates of compensation for various administrative personnel in the <br />Division of Mayor's ("'ourt for the years 2019 and 2020; and otherwise restage the <br />compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020, and declaring an emergency. File <br />Director of' human Resources said this will allow for the assistant clerk salary <br />range to mirror that of an administrative secretary. To show how off it was, the <br />part-time seasonal rate was more than the hourly rate of'a full-time assistant clerk. <br />This legislation will fix the issue. The committee voted to recommend to Council <br />with suspension 2-0. <br />Councilman Schumann asked for a moment of personal privilege. I do have some good <br />nevus for the people in my ward and actt1a11v it's a good thing for the whole town. I <br />wanted to bring the good news to Council this evening. Letters from ODOT are being <br />received from residents in my ward whose homes border 1-480. "These letters are <br />announcing geology and engineering studies for sound walls. For some history, 1 am <br />aware of at least four council people, including myself, who have worked on this <br />including our present Council President, multiple Mayors and Service Directors, our <br />Planning and Development Director and others have all worked on this. The last <br />application was actually walked around by a resident by the name of Ron Berna. He lives <br />on Bellevue. Keep your fingers crossed as construction is supposed to begin in 2022 from <br />Fitch to Mackenzie.
