Council Minutes of 6-18-2019 <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2019-65. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor, on <br />behalf of the City of' North Olmsted. to enter into a license agreement with <br />Bretton Ridge homeowners Association, granting permission to install <br />development identification signs in the public right-of-way on Dorchester Road <br />and in the vicinity of Stearns Road. and declaring an emergency. Director Lieber <br />noted this is to replace a sign on Dorchester south of the right-of-way that had <br />been there previously. However, in reviewing records the Planning and Building <br />departments have tried to ensure the City has the correct approval recorded for all <br />of these signs. In this case, approval was not found. This legislation is needed to <br />grant the approval to replace the sign. The agreement will actually be a three-way <br />agreement between a resident, the homeowners association and the City. The <br />committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. After the meeting I was notified <br />by Director I_.ieber about a request for suspension that was addressed this evening <br />in Caucus. <br />Councilman Glassburn Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 6:50 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Glassburn, Schumann and f lemann: Council <br />members Kearney and l._impert; Council President Jones: Mayor Kennedy and guests. <br />• Discussed was the appointment of Susan Patton to the Arts Commission for an <br />unexpired term ending Decernber 31, 2021. The committee recommended to <br />approve Ms. Patton 3-0. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to appoint Susan Patton to the Arts Commission for an <br />unexpired term ending December 31. 2021. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Rill Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Schumann, Hemann, Limpert, Williamson, Brossard, Kearney <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ms. Patton appointed 7-0. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Dennis I..ambert <br />25057 Carey Lane <br />Mr. Lambert said he came to the meeting not to pick on Council, the City or the <br />Administration. however, he said lie did come up here as a one-time legislator and a <br />concerned citizen. He said he came to address the bag ordinance in Cuyahoga County. Ile <br />said the majority of people and businesses in the city do not support the county <br />legislation on single use bags. Ile said this ordinance really, affects North Olmsted. Mr. <br />Lambert said a firmer councilmernber sponsored an ordinance requiring people walking <br />pets to have plastic bags with them and it is still in force today. He said this Council took <br />a bold stance on the Cleveland water agreement and he commends the Council for voting <br />
