Council Minutes of 8-20-2019 Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Hemann, Glassburn, Schumann, Limpert, Kearney, Brossard No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2019-79 adopted 6-0. Councilman Schumann voted yes with comment. I think this is a terrific thing and I am surprised the dog didn't come up to talk. Thank you. Ordinance 2019-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of Councilwoman Williamson. An Ordinance amending Chapter 557 of the General Offenses Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Sale of Cigarettes and Tobacco Products to Minors," in order to prohibit the sale to or possession of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and vaping devices by individuals under 21 years of age, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Hemann asked for a moment of personal privilege. I would like to at this time present the check for Match's vest to Chief Wagner and Officer DiMatteo, Match's partner. Chief Wagner and Officer DiMatteo both thanked Councilwoman Hemann for the donation. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Schumann made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Williamson. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Schumann, Limpert, Kearney, Hemann, Glassburn, Brossard No: None Motion carried. Councilwoman Williamson excused 6-0. Councilwoman Hemann scheduled an Environmental Control meeting for Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 6:45 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2019-75. Councilman Brossard scheduled a Public Safety, Health and Welfare meeting for Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 7:20 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2019-80. The Director of Safety/Service is asked to attend. Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance meeting for Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2019-74. The Director of Planning and Development is asked to attend. 7
