Council Minutes of 12-3-2019 <br />Councilman Kearney Chairman of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />The Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee met on Tuesday, November 26, <br />2019 at 7:15 p.m. Present were committee members Kearney and Brossard; Council <br />members Glassburn, Limpert, Schumann and Williamson; Council President Jones; <br />Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director <br />of Planning & Development Lieber and guests.. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2019-100. A Resolution authorizing the Director <br />of Planning and Development to make application on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted for funds from the State of Ohio 2019 Capital Budget and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept an award, if granted, and to execute any contracts <br />with the State of Ohio, and declaring an emergency. If the City is awarded the <br />money, which caps at $100,000, it will be used at Little Clague Park for restrooms <br />and walking path. The committee voted 2-0 to recommend to Council with <br />suspension. <br />• Discussed next was Resolution 2019-101. A Resolution authorizing the Director <br />of Planning and Development to make application on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted for the 2020 Cuyahoga County Supplemental Grant Program; further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept funds, if awarded, and to execute a contract as <br />required; and declaring an emergency. The cap available is $50,000 and if <br />awarded it will be used at the land donated by the Kiwanis Club. The committee <br />voted 2-0 to recommend to Council with suspension. <br />Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at <br />7:38 p.m. Present were committee members Brossard, Williamson and Limpert; Council <br />members Glassburn, Kearney and Schumann; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, <br />Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service <br />Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2019-98. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a one year contract with TAC Computer Inc. in order to provide <br />maintenance and repair services to computer hardware and software in the North <br />Olmsted Police Department, and declaring an emergency. This is the annual <br />computer contract. The new contract increases by $382. The committee voted 3-0 <br />to recommend to Council. <br />Councilman Brossard moved to amend Resolution 2019-98 with the following <br />amendments: 1) adding $18.75 per month for 911 paging; 2) Lower the TAC Bar from <br />$26.25 per month from $13.13 per month; 3) Change the monthly total from $1,497.53 <br />per month to $1,503.16 per month; 4) Change the annual total from $17,970.36 to <br />$18,037.92.
