Council Minutes of 12-17-2019 Motion carried. Tim Smith 6053 Sherwood Drive Mr. Smith said he has been employed at the Senior Center for about a year now and he gets to see firsthand the seniors that come out for the meals. Tuesday's and Thursday's we serve a hot meal and Monday's it is a boxed lunch and when they have bingo on Friday it is also a boxed lunch. He said they serve between 50 and 80 people at these meals and it gets them out of the house and gives them a chance to do things. He said he can't stress the importance of having the meals continue. It is all nutritionally based food and it is good meals for them. It is a good value. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Schumann, Brossard, Williamson, Glassbum, Kearney, Limpert, Hemann No: None Motion carried. Resolution 2019-113 adopted 7-0. Resolution 2019-114 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Department of Planning & Development, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2019-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to solicit quotes for the award of a contract to provide construction services for the Springvale Dredging Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best contractor. Ordinance 2019-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and all of Council. An Ordinance to revise the Codified Ordinances by adopting current replacement pages; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings and formal committee review as it was discussed in caucus and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Schumann, Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Williamson No: None Motion carried.
