Council Minutes of 1-21-2020 <br />agreements, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard moved to suspend the <br />rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was discussed in <br />Caucus and is time sensitive. Resolution 2020-22 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2020-23 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in <br />the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and <br />assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2020-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt <br />for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of <br />Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />Resolution 2020-25 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution to authorize an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to <br />detour traffic from Interstate 480 onto Stearns and Lorain Roads during two (2) separate <br />ten (10) day periods, with dates to be determined, during ODOT's resurfacing project. <br />Resolution 2020-26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council President <br />Jones on behalf of herself and all of Council. A Resolution honoring the League of <br />Women Voters in recognition of its 100th Anniversary, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development meeting for <br />Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2020-18. The Director of Planning <br />& Community Development is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance meeting for Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at <br />7:05 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2020-16 and Resolution 2020-17.
