Council Minutes of 1-21-2020 Resolution 2020-17 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Enterprise to lease five (5) vehicles, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute contracts, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2020-18 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City of North Olmsted. Ordinance 2020-19 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Chapter 1149 "Mixed Use Districts" of Chapter Eleven of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted titled "Planning and Zoning Code," for the purpose of implementing Zoning Code changes proposed by the City of North Olmsted Planning and Design Commission. Resolution 2020-20 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Tempest, Inc., to provide design -build services for the ice area dehumidification, air handling and rink floor modification, as part of the North Olmsted Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute said contract. Resolution 2020-21 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to purchase two (2) new Ford Explorer Police Interceptors through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all purchase agreements, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Brossard moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this was discussed in Caucus and is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Brossard, Williamson, Glassbum, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Schumann No: None Motion carried.
