Council Minutes of 1-21-2020 <br />$196,244.95, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute all contract documents. This was discussed during the budget as <br />well and this is a needed replacement. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to <br />Council. <br />• Discussed last was Resolution 2020-8. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br />purchase a new wheel loader from Southeastern Equipment Company, at a cost of <br />$136,098.53, through the State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute all contract documents. This was also discussed during budget. <br />The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. <br />Councilman Glassburn Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 7:40 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Glassbum, Schumann and Hemann; Council <br />members Brossard, Kelly, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. <br />• The purpose of the meeting was to interview potential appointments to the Charter <br />Review Commission. This is an important and unique task. Council gets to <br />appoint four members to this Commission. The Commission meets and makes <br />suggested changes to the Charter and brings those back to Council. If Council <br />approves the suggested amendments it goes to the ballot for the voters. There <br />were four interviews on this night: John FitzGerald, James Hammer, John Parker <br />and Jeff Sturgeon. Each of the candidates presented themselves well. After the <br />interviews it was discussed there was still some additional interest from the public <br />and there would be a second night of interviews. <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee also met on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at <br />7:20 p.m. Present were committee members Glassburn, Schumann and Hemann; Council <br />members Brossard, Kelly, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of <br />Planning & Community Development Lieber and guests. <br />• Suzie Patton was interviewed for an appointment to the Building & Zoning Board <br />of Appeals for a new term of January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024. Ms. Patton <br />currently serves on the Arts Commission and works in the Real Estate industry <br />and has the experience needed for this appointment. The committee voted 3-0 to <br />recommend the appointment of Ms. Patton to Council. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved to appoint Suzie Patton to the Building & Zoning Board of <br />Appeals for the term ending December 31, 2024. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassbum, Schumann, Limpert, Hemann, Brossard, Kelly, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ms. Patton appointed to the Building & Zoning Board of Appeals for the <br />term ending December 31, 2024. <br />4 <br />
