MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 4, 2020 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service <br />Glauner, Director of Planning & Community Development Lieber and <br />Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of January 7, 2020 and January 21, 2020 were approved as <br />written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2020-26; First Reading: Resolution 2020-31, <br />Resolution 2020-34 and Ordinance 2020-37. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Fish Fry's at the Springvale Ballroom will start on February 28 and go through <br />April 10. They will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Each week a different <br />volunteer organization will serve and keep all tips. <br />• The Mayor's Art Show will open on Wednesday at Old Town Hall from 6:00 p.m. <br />until 8:00 p.m. North Olmsted High School students will be honored for their <br />talent. The Service Department did a great job of repairing, painting and getting <br />the venue ready for this and future community events. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Tonight, I participated in the Records Commission meeting. This is a commission <br />that meets at least twice a year. Directors Gallo and Copfer sit on it along with <br />Annie Kilbane and one resident. It is interesting as we were dealing with Social <br />Media records and how those are retained, what are the records and policies. <br />Other communities were surveyed and we plan to have a workable policy for <br />records retention, while ensuring we don't run into the situation we have now <br />with the garage and lots of records we probably don't need, but we have kept. <br />• Council heard in Caucus from Chris Allegra. You might have missed something <br />she said, she has been working with Youth and Family Services issues since 1978. <br />She is probably one of the longest serving employees in the City. She is extremely <br />dedicated to what she does. There are a lot of great people in this City, but you <br />
