Council Minutes of 2-4-2020 don't get to see her very often and it is a real treat to have her come up here and work on 2020-34 and 2020-37. Director of Finance Copfer: • No Report. Councilwoman Williamson Chairwoman of the Building, Zoning & Development Committee: The Building, Zoning & Development Committee met on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Williamson, Limpert and Schumann; Councilmembers Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann and Kelly; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. • Discussed was Ordinance 2020-18. An Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City of North Olmsted. Director Gallo explained this Ordinance will reassign the duties previously held by the Director of Planning & Community Development and transfer it to the Building Commissioner. It is a necessary housekeeping change due to the change in duties between the Director of Planning & Community Development and the Human Resources Director. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. Councilman Schumann Chairman of the Finance Committee: The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. Present were committee members Schumann, Brossard and Kelly; Council members Glassburn, Hemann, Limpert and Williamson; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. • Discussed was Ordinance 2020-16. An Ordinance to adjust the salary range for the Outreach Coordinator in the Division of Aging, and align divisions with the City's current organization chart for the year 2020; and otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020, and declaring an emergency. This will increase the pay range for the Outreach Coordinator in the Division of Aging to reflect the present Outreach Coordinator's experience and education. There is also a change in the boot and clothing allowance for affected employees moving the date from July to January of each year. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council. Councilman Schumann moved to amend Ordinance 2020-16. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Roll Call: 2
