Council Minutes of 2-4-2020 <br />Ordinance 2020-16 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to adjust the salary range for the Outreach Coordinator in the Division of <br />Aging, and align divisions with the City's current organization chart for the year 2020, <br />and change the boot and clothing allowance payment to January; and otherwise restate <br />the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative <br />personnel for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Resolution 2020-17 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Enterprise to lease five <br />(5) vehicles, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to <br />execute contracts, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2020-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building <br />Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize <br />the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City <br />of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution 2020-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Tempest, Inc., to provide <br />design -build services for the ice area dehumidification, air handling and rink floor <br />modification, as part of the North Olmsted Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute said <br />contract. <br />Resolution 2020-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in <br />the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and <br />assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution 2020-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt <br />for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in <br />specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of <br />Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />Resolution 2020-25 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution to authorize an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to <br />detour traffic from Interstate 480 onto Stearns and Lorain Roads during two (2) separate <br />ten (10) day periods, with dates to be determined, during ODOT's resurfacing project. <br />Resolution 2020-26 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and all of <br />Council was given its second reading. A Resolution honoring the League of Women <br />Voters in recognition of its 100th Anniversary, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Glassburn moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this is time sensitive. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. <br />10 <br />
