Council Minutes of 2-4-2020 Ordinance 2020-16 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance to adjust the salary range for the Outreach Coordinator in the Division of Aging, and align divisions with the City's current organization chart for the year 2020, and change the boot and clothing allowance payment to January; and otherwise restate the compensation rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Resolution 2020-17 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Enterprise to lease five (5) vehicles, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute contracts, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2020-18 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An Ordinance amending Sections 1359.08 and 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to authorize the Building Commissioner to enforce said sections as Chief Building Official of the City of North Olmsted. Resolution 2020-20 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Tempest, Inc., to provide design -build services for the ice area dehumidification, air handling and rink floor modification, as part of the North Olmsted Recreation Center Ice Rink Project, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to execute said contract. Resolution 2020-23 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution declaring the necessity of the construction and repair of certain sidewalks in the City of North Olmsted by the abutting property owners; the construction, repair, and assessment of the costs of sidewalks in certain cases by the City, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2020-24 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for rock salt for roadway ice and snow removal for use by the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in specifications on file and further authorizing the Mayor, after approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2020-25 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A Resolution to authorize an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to detour traffic from Interstate 480 onto Stearns and Lorain Roads during two (2) separate ten (10) day periods, with dates to be determined, during ODOT's resurfacing project. Resolution 2020-26 introduced by Council President Jones on behalf of herself and all of Council was given its second reading. A Resolution honoring the League of Women Voters in recognition of its 100th Anniversary, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings as this is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. 10
