Council Minutes oi'3-18-2020 <br />declaring an emergency. It is the same price as last year and will take place on <br />Sunday. June 28 with a rain date of Sunday. July 5. The Mayor said he would let <br />Council know about the cancellation policy. The committee voted 2-0 to <br />recommend to Council with suspension. <br />Councilman Glassburn Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />Councilman Glassburn said the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee did not have a <br />formal report, but would like to note that Boards and Commissions are not meeting at this <br />time. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Jeff Sturgeon <br />3092 W. 231" St. <br />Mr. Sturgeon asked if the City would consider extending time for repairs to sidewalks <br />through the Sidewalk Program given what is happening with the. coronavirus. Ile said he <br />knows there are a lot of people who ,just won`t have the nioncy for it right now as they° <br />are losing their jobs. <br />Mayor Kennedy responded the City has decided to delay the program. Ile said it might <br />not be public yet as everything was just finalized. Ile said the City does not want to put <br />any additional burden on residents right now. <br />Councilman Schumann said the sidewalk legislation that was scheduled to be voted on in <br />the next couple weeks has been pulled frons the agenda for this very reason. <br />Mr. Sturgeon also asked ifthe City would consider cutting or waiving the permit fees for <br />emergency work such as for electric or water- heaters. Ile said any, type of relief for <br />emergency situations would be helpful. <br />Councilman Glassburn wanted to be specific regarding the Sidewalk Program since the <br />majority of the program is in Ward 11. Hie clarified the program would be pushed back <br />one year according to the memo sent to Council. <br />Mayor Kennedy said that is correct. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2020-16 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance to adjust the salary range for the Outreach Coordinator in the Division of <br />Aging, align divisions with the City's current organizational chart for the year 2020, <br />change the boot and clothing allowance payment to January, adjust the Police Captain <br />range. and adjust the part-time Firefighter range; and otherwise restate the compensation <br />rates and descriptions for various administrative and legislative personnel for the years <br />2018. 2019 and 2020, and declaring an emergency, as twice amended.
