1.1 The SERVICES required to be performed by ARCHITECT under this Agreement <br />shall be the basic services for the PROJECT. <br />1.2 The scope and details of such basic services are described in Exhibit I and Exhibit <br />IV, Scope of Services, attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />SECTION 2. ADDITIONAL SERVI <br />2.1 No additional services are expected to be required by ARCHITECT for the <br />PROJECT. However, should the providing of any additional services become necessary, any such <br />additional required services will be separate from the Section 1 - Basic Services, and will be <br />considered an Optional Service that may be undertaken only upon written authorization by the <br />CITY. <br />SECTION 3. CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES. <br />3.1 The CITY shall do the following in a timely manner: <br />(a) Designate a CITY representative having the authority to give to ARCHITECT <br />instructions, receive information, define the CITY'S policies and make <br />decisions with respect to the PROJECT. <br />(b) Provide all criteria and information needed by ARCHITECT regarding the <br />CITY'S requirements for the PROJECT, including design objectives and <br />constraints, space and capacity requirements and budgetary limitations. <br />(c) Furnish to ARCHITECT, as needed, copies of all design and construction <br />standards, which the CITY requires for the PROJECT. <br />(d) Provide to ARCHITECT all available data and information in the possession <br />of the CITY, as requested by ARCHITECT, relevant to the design and <br />construction of the PROJECT. <br />(e) Give prompt written notice to ARCHITECT whenever the CITY observes or <br />otherwise becomes aware of any event that affects ARCHITECT'S <br />performance of its duties and obligations under Section 1 Basic Services. <br />SECTION 4. TIME SCHEDULE <br />4.1 Unless otherwise directed by the CITY, the ARCHITECT shall commence the <br />2 <br />
