MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 16, 2020 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any <br />member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notify the Clerk via <br />the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For <br />those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted during the appropriate portion of <br />the meeting. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of May 19, 2020 were approved as written. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of June 2, 2020 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading: Ordinance 2020-63 and Ordinance 2020-64. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Storm meetings have been scheduled at Springvale. The first meetings happened <br />today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and there will be more tomorrow and Thursday. There <br />was a sign-up as social distancing requirements needed to be met. <br />• City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 to observe Independence Day. <br />• City Hall has been closed to the public due to COVID-19. Staff has been working <br />in the building and remotely in all departments to provide little to no interruption <br />to City services. City Hall will open to the public, by appointment only, starting <br />on July 6. <br />• The Recreation Center welcomed back patrons to the Fitness Center. Attendance <br />has been positive and there have been many new membership sales. Fitness <br />classes resumed on June 10, with most taking place on the tennis courts to provide <br />more spacing between participants. The pools opened on June 15. Temperatures <br />are being taken of everyone who enters the building. <br />• Cash donations have topped $13,000 to the Oxcart Food Pantry year-to-date. <br />Donations for all of 2019 was approximately $12,000. The City thanks the <br />generous people in our community who came together to support the Oxcart <br />Pantry during these trying times. <br />
