Special Council Minutes of 6-23-2020 <br />at a combined cost of $131,888.00, through the State Purchase Program; and <br />further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents. This truck will <br />be purchased through the Sewer Reserve Fund and not the General Fund. This <br />purchase was talked about during budget hearings, but was delayed due to the <br />COVID-19 pandemic. The new truck has a crane, which can be utilized in repair <br />work. It will also be used in other areas of the city as needed, such as for removal <br />of downed trees. The committee voted to recommend to Council 3-0. <br />Councilman Glassburn Chairman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 7:05 <br />p.m. Present were committee members Glassburn, Schumann & Hemann; Council <br />members Brossard, Kelly, Limpert and Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor <br />Kennedy, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Charter Review Commission Chair <br />Sturgeon and guests. <br />• Discussed were Ordinances 2020-65 through 2020-70. These were amendments <br />proposed by the Charter Review Commission. The committee went through each <br />amendment. There are possible changes coming on Ordinance 2020-65, which <br />concerns the Recreation Commission and Ordinance 2020-67, regarding <br />Council's ability to call the time and location of its meetings. It was determined it <br />would be best to have another meeting with a representative from the Department <br />of Law available this Thursday. The committee decided to ask for the removal of <br />the items from the agenda this evening. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />None. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2020-62 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution adopting the alternative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal <br />year beginning January 1, 2021, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga County Fiscal <br />Officer and its Budget Commission, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Brossard, Hemann, Glassburn, Limpert, Kelly, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-62 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2020-52 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to purchase a new Ford <br />F550/5500 Ford truck for use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant from Mtech Company <br />and to include installation of a maintainer crane assembly and incidental equipment from <br />Maintainer corporation, at a combined cost of $131,888.00, through the State Purchase <br />Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all contract documents. <br />2 <br />
