Council Minutes of 8-4-2020 <br />Ordinance 2020-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy on <br />behalf of himself, Councilman Glassburn and Councilwoman Hemann. An Ordinance <br />providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted to Article I of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted for the purpose of <br />conforming the Charter to Revised Code requirements regarding detachment of land, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring <br />three readings and formal committee review seeing as an identical item has previously <br />received three readings and moving the measure to the November ballot would be in the <br />interest of the public welfare. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Glassburn, Schumann, Limpert, Williamson, Kelly, Brossard, Hemann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption. An Ordinance <br />providing for the submission of an amendment to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted to Article IV, Section 7 of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />purpose of (1) authorizing the Council to establish Council meeting dates and locations; <br />(2) eliminating the requirement that Council meetings occur in Council Chambers; and <br />(3) authorizing Council meetings to be conducted via electronic format, and declaring an <br />emergency.
