Council Minutes of 9-1-2020 <br />Resolution 2020-85 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for excess <br />insurance coverage for the City Health Care & Hospitalization Plans for 2021, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract for said insurance coverage. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Kelly, Glassburn, Limpert, Hemann, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-85 adopted 6-0. <br />Resolution 2020-95 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement with the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1267, AFL-CIO for <br />the City's Firefighters, for the period January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023. <br />Resolution 2020-96 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission <br />and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Fiscal Officer. <br />Ordinance 2020-98 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending Section 1345.05 of Chapter 1345 of the Building Code entitled <br />"Standards for Private Residential Pools" to incorporate standards established by the <br />International Code Council for Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs installed at residential <br />properties. <br />Ordinance 2020-99 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and reestablishing Section 1359.09 of Chapter 1359 of the Building <br />Code entitled "Maintenance of Unoccupied Commercial Buildings" in order to establish <br />the appeal process from an order of the Building Commissioner. <br />Ordinance 2020-100 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Schumann. An Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted <br />to remove the no parking signs on Charles Road. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Jones reminded everyone of the Public Hearing on Tuesday, <br />September 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2020-78 and 2020-79. <br />Councilwoman Williamson scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development meeting for <br />Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7:20 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2020-78, 2020-79, 2020- <br />98 and 2020-99. The Director of Planning & Community Development and the Director <br />of Law are asked to attend. <br />5 <br />
