Exhibit B: Chapter 1115 Definitions (Proposed) <br />HOUSEHOLD means one (1) or more people living together in a single dwelling unit with <br />common access to and common use of all living and eating areas and facilities for the <br />preparation and serving of food within the dwelling unit. <br />HUB HEIGHT means the vertical distance from the base of the wind energy tower to the center <br />of rotation of the rotor. <br />Section 1115.06 Definitions I -J <br />IMPERVIOUS SURFACE means any material that substantially reduces or prevents the <br />infiltration of storm water into the earth. <br />IMPROVEMENTS means permanent additions to real property that are designed to make the <br />property more useful or to increase its value, such as buildings, parking and utilities. <br />INDUSTRIAL PARK means an area within the Limited Industry -Industrial Park District <br />consisting of ten (10) or more acres which shall be developed in accordance with a <br />development plan submitted to the Planning and Design Commission. <br />Section 1115.07 Definitions K -L <br />KENNEL means any facility used for the boarding, breeding, raising, training, showing, or <br />selling of dogs and/or cats for a fee. Such facilities may include outdoor dog runs. <br />LAMP means the source of electric light, the bulb and its housing. To be distinguished from the <br />whole assembly (see "luminaire"). <br />LAND means any ground, soil or earth, including marshes, swamps, drainage ways and areas <br />not permanently covered by water within the City. <br />LAND USE means the various ways in which land may be used, employed or occupied. <br />LANDSCAPE NURSERY means the growing, storage and sale of garden plants, shrubs, trees, <br />or vines for resale, including incidental retail sales. <br />LANDSCAPE PLAN means a site plan depicting planned locations of trees, shrubs, lawns, and <br />other landscaping that will be established on the site. <br />LATTICE TOWER means a support structure constructed of vertical metal struts and cross <br />braces forming a triangular or square structure which often tapers from the foundation. <br />LAW DIRECTOR means the chief legal officer for the City of North Olmsted. <br />LOADING SPACE means an open or enclosed space, other than a street, used for temporary <br />parking of a commercial vehicle while its goods are being loaded or off loaded. <br />LOT means a division of land separated from other divisions for purposes of sale, lease or <br />separate use, described on a recorded subdivision plat, recorded survey map or by metes and <br />bounds. "Lot" also means an area of land being described as a lot in a duly recorded subdivision <br />or appearing as a single parcel on the Auditor's Map Records or subdivided into a separate area <br />or parcel in accordance with the provisions of ORC 711.01. "Lot" includes the term "plot." <br />LOT, CORNER means a lot with at least two (2) contiguous sides abutting the intersection <br />of two (2) streets, forming an interior angle of less than 135 degrees. Also a lot abutting a <br />curved street shall be considered a corner lot if the tangents of the curve, at the points of <br />beginning with the lot or the points of intersection of the side lot lines with the street line, <br />meet at an interior angle of less than 135 degrees. <br />LOT, INTERIOR means a lot other than a corner lot. <br />Page 1115-11 City of North Olmsted Zoning Code <br />
