Exhibit A: Chapter 1115 Definitions (Current) <br />Section 1115.03 Definitions C -D <br />CHECK CASHING ESTABLISHMENT means a use other than a bank or financial institution <br />that cashes checks, drafts and money orders for a fee, service charge or other consideration <br />regulated pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 1301:8 of the Ohio Administrative Code. <br />CITY means the City of North Olmsted. <br />CIVIC CLUBS AND LODGES means membership organizations that hold regular meetings and <br />that may, subject to other regulations controlling such uses, maintain dining facilities, serve <br />alcohol or engage professional entertainment for the enjoyment of dues paying members and <br />their guests. <br />CLERK means the duly acting Clerk of Council of the City of North Olmsted. <br />CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT means a form of residential subdivision that permits housing units <br />to be grouped on sites or lots with dimensions, frontages and setbacks reduced from <br />conventional sizes, provided the density of the tract as a whole shall not exceed the density <br />allowed by the district under existing regulations and the remaining land area is devoted to <br />common open space. <br />COLLOCATION means the use of a Wireless Telecommunication Facility by more than one (1) <br />wireless telecommunication provider. <br />COMMERCIAL PROPERTY means any real property in the City that is zoned for other than <br />exclusive residential or industrial use. <br />COMMERCIAL VEHICLE means any propelled or non -propelled vehicle, trailer or semi -trailer <br />designed or used to carry freight, passengers for a fee or merchandise in the furtherance of any <br />commercial enterprise. <br />COMMISSION means the City's Planning and Design Commission. <br />COMMON OPEN SPACE means any portion of a development that is not part of a lot or tract <br />and is designed for the common usage of residents, visitors, guests or the general public. May <br />include complementary structures and improvements. <br />COMMUNICATION TOWER, FREESTANDING means a structure erected on the ground and <br />used primarily for the support of broadcast and/or receiving equipment and utilized by <br />commercial, governmental or other public or quasi -public users. A communication tower does <br />not include private home use of satellite dishes and television antennas or amateur radio <br />operators as licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. <br />COMMUNICATION TOWER, ROOF -MOUNTED means a structure placed on a building used <br />primarily for the support of broadcast and/or receiving equipment and utilized by commercial, <br />governmental or other public or quasi -public users. A communication tower does not include <br />private home use of satellite dishes and television antennas or amateur radio operators as <br />licensed by the Federal Communications Commission. <br />COMMUNITY CENTER means a building to be used as a place of meeting, recreation or social <br />activity and is not operated for profit and in that neither alcoholic beverages nor meals are <br />normally dispensed or consumed. <br />CONDOMIMIUM means a type of development in which the dwellings, offices, floor area, etc. <br />are owned individually and the structure, common area and joint facilities are owned by all of the <br />individual owners on a proportional and undivided basis as defined in ORC 5311.01. <br />CONSTRUCTION means any preparation, building or erection of a structure. <br />Page 1115-5 City of North Olmsted Zoning Code <br />
