Exhibit A: Chapter 1163 Signs (Current) <br />Section 1163.24 Windblown Devices <br />No sign shall contain or consist of windblown devices, such as banners, pennants, ribbons, <br />streamers, balloons and hot or cold air inflatable devices, spinners or similar objects. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.25 Maximum Sign Face Area <br />A. Maximum Sign Face Area per Lot. The total maximum sign face area permitted for any lot <br />shall be 1.35 square feet per foot of frontage. For lots fronting on two or more streets, each <br />street frontage shall be calculated separately, and such individual totals shall apply <br />separately and only to signs directed at those individual streets. <br />B. Maximum Sign Face Area per Building. Notwithstanding the area determined in <br />paragraph (A) above, the total maximum sign face area permitted for any building shall be <br />one (1) square foot per foot of building frontage. For buildings fronting on two or more <br />streets, the building frontage shall include any fronting building face plus up to 40% of any <br />other fronting building face. <br />C. Maximum Sign Face Area per Building Unit. Notwithstanding the area determined in <br />paragraphs (A) and (B) above, the total maximum sign face area permitted for any building <br />unit shall be one (1) square foot per foot of building unit frontage. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.26 Types of Signs Permitted <br />No signs, other than the following types, are permitted on private property within the City. The <br />following types of signs are permitted only in accordance with regulations of this Chapter: <br />A. Ground Signs; <br />B. Wall Signs; <br />C. Canopy Signs; <br />D. Window Signs; <br />E. Flags; <br />F. Temporary Signs; <br />G. Signs expressly exempted by Section 1163.04 of this Chapter. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.27 Ground Signs <br />A. Ground signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, except that <br />as accessory to a conditional or overlay use one ground sign shall be permitted per lot. In all <br />other Districts, one ground sign shall be permitted per lot, except that for lots having either a <br />total area in excess of ten (10) acres or a total frontage on any one street in excess of 600 <br />feet, two (2) ground signs at least 200 feet apart shall be permitted <br />B. Ground signs shall be set back at least five (5) feet from every right-of-way line, at least <br />twenty (20) feet from any side or rear lot line, and at least 75 feet from any property line <br />abutting residentially -zoned property, and shall be located so as to conform to Section <br />1163.17. <br />Page 1163-9 City of North Olmsted Zoning Code <br />
