Exhibit A: Chapter 1163 Signs (Current) <br />C. No ground sign shall exceed 50 square feet in total sign face area, nor 12 feet in height as <br />measured from either: <br />1. The ground level at the property line nearest the sign, or <br />2. The ground level at the sign, whichever is higher, except that ground signs no more than <br />eight (8) feet in height shall not exceed 65 square feet in total sign face area. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.28 Wall Signs <br />A. Wall signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, Single Family <br />Cluster Districts, Multiple Residence Districts, or Senior Residence Districts, except that as <br />accessory to a conditional or overlay use one wall sign shall be permitted per lot. In all other <br />Districts, one wall sign shall be permitted per building, plus, if the building is subdivided, one <br />wall sign shall be permitted per building unit, and for buildings having frontage on two or <br />more streets, one additional wall sign shall be permitted on any secondary frontage street. <br />B. No wall sign shall project more than 14 inches from the surface or wall to which it is <br />attached. No wall sign shall extend any closer than 12 inches to either the top or side edges <br />of the surface or wall to which it is attached. No wall sign shall cover or obscure any wall <br />opening. <br />C. The total area of all signs on a building, including wall signs, shall be limited to the Maximum <br />Sign Face Area per Building as defined in Section 1163.25, and no single wall sign shall <br />exceed 100 square feet in sign face area, nor four (4) feet in height. <br />D. No wall sign shall be nearer than two (2) feet to any other sign, nor nearer than five (5) feet <br />to any other building or structure. <br />(Ord. 2008-6. Passed 4-1-08.) <br />Section 1163.29 Canopy Signs <br />A. Canopy signs shall not be permitted in One or Two Family Residence Districts, or Single <br />Family Cluster Districts. In all other Districts, one canopy sign shall be permitted per building <br />entrance canopy. <br />B. No canopy sign shall project more than two (2) inches from the canopy to which it is <br />attached. No canopy sign shall extend any closer than four (4) inches to either the top or <br />side edges of the canopy to which it is attached. No canopy sign shall cover or obscure any <br />wall opening. <br />C. The total area of all signs on a building, including canopy signs, shall be limited to the <br />Maximum Sign Face Area per Building as defined in Section 1163.25, and no single canopy <br />sign shall exceed 50 square feet in sign face area, nor four (4) feet in height. No canopy <br />sign shall be more than five (5) feet wider than the entrance(s) over which it is located, <br />except that where two entrances are less than 20 feet apart, a continuous canopy with <br />continuous canopy sign may extend over both. <br />D. No canopy sign shall be nearer than two (2) feet to any other sign, nor nearer than five (5) <br />feet to any other building or structure. <br />(Ord. 2008-6.
