AR"T"ICLE 41 FUNERAL LEAVE <br />41.01 A full-time employee shall be granted a live (5) day leave of absence with pati, in the <br />event of the death of an immediate family member. <br />41.02 Immediate family shall include, spouse, children_ step children, lather, mother, brother, <br />sister, brother -in -lave, sister -in -lav', mother -in -lave, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, <br />step parents, step parents of spouse, son-in-law daughter-in-law, and grandparents ofspousc. <br />41.03 In the event of death of any other person not listed above an ernnployee shall use his <br />accumulated sick leave or may use sick leave to extend funeral leave time. <br />ARTICLE, 42 COMMERCIAL DRIVI R'S LICENSE <br />414.01 Employees in classifications which rcqUi1V a COMInercial drivcCc, license (C;f )I:) shall be <br />required to maintain a CDI.,. Employees transferring into or promoting into these classifications <br />shall have ninety (90) days to obtain a CDL. <br />42.02 The Ennpioyer shall pay= the cost. of the commercial driver's license.. any endorsements to <br />that license, and any testing nccessary to obtain it for all neve employees required to obtain the <br />license to perform their duties, and all employees promoted to such positions. I he E°rrrpl0\er's <br />obligation shall be limited to the first test an employ ce takes, and the Employer shall reimburse <br />Ernploiecs the cost of the CDL, renewals and endorsements. I he Employer agrees to pay the <br />cost to renew all licenses. <br />42.03 In the event that an employee loses his CDA, or is not successful in passing the CDA: <br />exam, the Employer shall place the employee into another available job lie is capable of <br />performing at his regular rate of pay. provided it falls �vithin the new- joh's wage schedule, or at <br />the top of the nevv Joh's wage schedule if his regular rate of ixi%, does not fall within the nevv <br />,lob's vv rg,e schedule. Such placement shall supersede lateral transfers. the posting procedure, and <br />work week or shift preference transfers. <br />42.04 If no job is available. the employee shall he laid otf until such time as a job is available or <br />until such time as he obtains his CDL, whichever is sooner. Upon obtaining his CDL, the <br />employee shall be returned to his previous job. <br />42.05 Employees required to take the driving portion of CDL exam shall be permitted to use an <br />Employer vehicle for that exam. <br />42.06 All employees hired prior to January 1, 2021 who obtain a Class A CDL w ill receive an <br />additional fifty -live (`.1;.55) cents per hour for all hours worked (grandfather in new hires. hired <br />before January 1, 2021). <br />m <br />
