4.02 Deductions under this Article 4 shall be made during the second pay period of each <br />month. but ifan employee's pay f)r that period is insufficient to cover Union dues, the Employer <br />will make a deduction frons the pay earned during the neat period or a subsequent period. All <br />deductions under this ;Article accompanied by an alphabetical list of all employees for whom <br />deductions have been made, shall he transmitted to the Union no later than the fifteenth (1 >) day <br />following the end of the pay period in Miicli the deduction is made, and upon receipt, the Union <br />shall assume full responsibility for the disposition of all funds deducted. <br />4.03 The (.inion will indemnify and save the Finployer harmless from any action growing., out <br />of deductions hereunder and commenced by an employee against the L:"mplover or the Fmployer <br />and the Union jointly. <br />4.04 (_Inion Membership Revocation/Maintenance of Membership: L;mployees who are <br />members of the [.Inion may revoke their union membership at any time by sending written notice <br />to the Union of their desire to drop their Union membership. Revocation of union membership <br />does not revoke union dues authorization which may be only revoked as set forth below in <br />Section 4 of this Article. <br />4.05 Union Dues revocation: Any voluntary dues checkoff authorization shall be irrevocable, <br />regardless of whether an employee has revoked union membership, for a period of one year from <br />the date of execution of the dues checkoff authorization and for year to year thereafter, unless the <br />employee gives the Employer and the Union written notice of revocation not less than ten (10) <br />days and not more than twenty -rive (25) days before the end of any yearly period. Copies of <br />enlplcrvees' dues checkoffauthorization cards arc available from the ( upon request. <br />4.06 Employees may authorize the City to deduct voluntary contributions to Public f:mployees <br />Organized to Promote Legislative Equality (PEOPLE) by payroll deduction (check -off). Upon <br />receipt of the employee's 1' 1011I_,f deduction authorization. the City sha11 make the deduction <br />and remit monthly to PF0pL.E all such deducted contributions. PFOPL,E contributions shall be <br />deducted and processed separately from dues or l air share deductions. <br />ARTI C1,E ; BULLETIN BOARDS <br />5.01 The Employer shall provide the Union four (4) Bulletin Boards: One (1) in the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant:, One (1) in the Service Garage Lunchroorn, One ( I ) in the Systems <br />Office and One (I) in the Service Department Lunchroorn, for notices of Union Business <br />providing notices oft nion meetings, elections and other Union related matters. All notices or - <br />other material posted must be signed and dated by a Union Officer or Steward. Upon request by <br />the Employer, the Union shall remove any posting that is inflammatory or critical of the <br />f-rnployer.
