When used in a residential district and only for emergency purposes, such as during <br />a power outage, the sound produced by a generator shall not exceed 66 dB(A) operating at <br />normal load when measured at the nearest point of a neighboring dwelling. Such <br />generators shall be exercised no greater than weekly between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and <br />5.00 P.M. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately so as to ensure <br />continued power supply during emergency power loss without violating current local restrictions, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED.
