Council Minutes of 11-04-2020 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2020-109 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending and reestablishing Section 161.01 of Chapter 161 of the <br />Administrative Code entitled "Non -Bargaining Unit Employee Benefits" in order to <br />adjust funeral leave benefits, as amended. Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Brossard, Hemann, Limpert, Williamson, Kelly, Glassburn <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2020-109 adopted 7-0. <br />Resolution 2020-110 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. A <br />Resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Collective Bargaining <br />Agreement with Ohio Council 8, Local 2681, of the American Federation of State, <br />County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), AFL-CIO, for the city's service <br />workers, for the period January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023. Councilman <br />Schumann moved for adoption. Resolution 2020-110 adopted 7-0. <br />Ordinance 2020-78 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the amendment of Chapter 1115 (Definitions) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, as amended. <br />Ordinance 2020-79 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the replacement of Chapter 1163 (Signs) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, as twice amended. <br />Ordinance 2020-112 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Director of Finance to request proposals from certified public <br />accountants to provide GAAP conversion assistance services for the preparation of the <br />2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR); and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a five (5) year <br />agreement (with a two (2) year option) with the professional selected in the RFP process, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Schumann moved to suspend the rules <br />requiring three readings as this was discussed in committee and recommended 3-0.
