Council Minutes of 11-17-2020 <br />Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and Assistant <br />Recreation Commission Wetmore and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Resolution 2020-118. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to <br />renew the contract between the City and Karrie Skall Tipton/North Olmsted <br />Gymnastics, Inc. for the provision of professional gymnastics instruction services <br />at the North Olmsted Recreation Center for an additional six month term with <br />option to extend for full one (1) year. Discussion was held about the agreement. <br />During the discussion on page three, item one was recommended to be amended. <br />The committee voted 3-0 to recommend to Council with the amendment. <br />Councilman Kelly moved to amend Resolution 2020-118's exhibit, page three, item one. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Kelly, Hemann, Williamson, Limpert, Glassburn, Brossard, Schumann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2020-118 amended 7-0. <br />• Discussed next was Resolution 2020-119. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of <br />the City of North Olmsted to enter into a one-year agreement with Reit Vending <br />LLC in order to provide for vending machine services at the North Olmsted <br />Recreation Center. In the agreement, Reit would give 15% commission of gross <br />sales of all the snack and ice cream machines. The committee voted to <br />recommend to Council 3-0. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Jeff Sturgeon <br />3092 W. 231 Street <br />Mr. Sturgeon asked Council to do whatever they need to do to get a third lane on Clague <br />Road. He believes it is needed and anybody with any kind of sense would know that's <br />what worked on the other side of Lorain for Clague Road. He said in the 1990's there <br />were three proposals for the section and one of them cost the City $120,000. Another <br />proposal was going to remove the curb and level seven homes. He said none of that <br />happened and the decision made was for the middle lane. Mr. Sturgeon said the first <br />proposal isn't always the best and asked Council to find a way to get it done. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2020-78 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the amendment of Chapter 1115 (Definitions) of the Codified <br />Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, as amended. Councilwoman Williamson <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />1 <br />
