In the event that an employee has been injured or exposed to a toxic substance or to an <br />infectious disease in the course or scope of his employ ment and is sent to the hospital for testing. <br />treatment and/or preventative measures. and Workers' Compensation subsequently determines <br />that there is no injury sustained, all bills pertaining to the employees testing. treatnicnt and/or <br />preventative measures shall be the responsibility of the employer. <br />ARTICLE. 34: <br />LIFE INSFRANCE <br />SECTION I: All bargaining unit employees shall recei\,c a tvyenty-five thousand dollar <br />($25,000) in-group term life insurance policy in their name tivhile employed by the Eanployer <br />paid for by the employer. <br />ARTICLE 3a: <br />MATRON DUTIES <br />SECTION 1: Every eflort will be made to ensure that employees are used as a last resort for <br />matron duties. On duty female police officers. on dutysecretaries, and on duty female auxiliary <br />officers. employed by the Frnployer, shall be contacted prior to an employee being <br />required/ordered to perform matron duties. hhe Fmployer further agrees that the members of the <br />bargaining unit \\ ill not be requested/ordered to perform matron duties for other area police <br />departments. in the event that an Emergency Central Dispatcher is required to perform matron <br />duties, the Dispatcher shall receive fifty dollars ($50.00) per prisoner. <br />For the Purpose of this contract. matron duties shall be defined as any time a dispatcher is <br />requested to assist with a female prisoner, including but not limited to: prisoner pat downs, <br />prisoner searches, clothing change outs. witnessing/collecting urine samples, acting, as a female <br />witness for male officers who request a female he present, monitoring prisoner shopvers and <br />taking prisoners to the restroom. <br />SECTION 2: The City agrees to at least tvw (2) hours of training on proper search and defense <br />procedures each year. Additionally, the City agrees to provide in-house training and education <br />with respect to Matron duties. All reasonable requests for training and education for relevant <br />schooling will be considered, but not unreasonably denied. <br />ARTICLI? 36: <br />WAIVER IN CASE OF EMERGENCY <br />SECTION l: In case of emergency declared by the President of the I inited States, the Governor <br />of the State of Ohio, the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted, the I-ederal or State Legislature. <br />such as acts of trod and civil disorder, the following conditions of this Agreement shall <br />6 <br />
