S 500.00 atter the employee completes five (5) years <br />$1.000.00 after the employee completes ten (10) years <br />$1,500.00 after the employee completes Ill fteen (15) vcars <br />$2.000.00 after the employee completes twenty (20) years <br />$,500.00 atter the employee completes twenty-five (25) years <br />In computing length ol' service for the purpose of* making payments of longevity <br />increments as herein above set forth. no credit shall be given for part-time service. but such <br />limitation is the only exclusion for the purpose Of computing ]on«evity. <br />8.03 Lon�(evity payments shall be made on the Employee's anniversary date each year. <br />Employees tivho retire and work bevond their anniversary date, shall receive a pro -rated amount <br />ol'their earned longevity rate until their final day ofemployment. <br />ARTICLE IX [HOLIDAYS <br />9.01 All bargaining unit members shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall <br />not be required to work on these holidays, unless scheduled to work by the Chiel'of Police. In <br />the event the bargaining unit member either works or yeas not scheduled to work for reasons <br />other than holiday leave on one of* the following holidays, then the bargaining unit member shall <br />receive another day off from work for reasons other than holiday leave. <br />9.02 Each employee shall receive time and a hall'( I pay for all hours Ny,orked, if required to <br />wwk on the below designated holidays, or receive time off in lieu thereof at the discretion ol'the <br />Chief of Police. Ifany of the bargaining unit members works on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day <br />he/she shall be compensated at tNNo times their regular hourly rate ofpay (double time <br />compensation) for any and all hours worked within the t\venty four hour period of Thanksgiving <br />and Christmas Day. <br />(a) For the purpose of this section. the holidays shall be: New Years Day. Good <br />Friday, Easter, Memorial Day. Independence Day (.luly 41h), Labor Day. <br />Thanksgiving Day. Christmas Day. Veteran's Day and ['resident's Dai° and <br />Martin Luther Kin,,. Jr. Day. <br />Each employee shall receive one hundred torty four (144) hours of Holiday pay per year.
