For the purpose of computing the length ol' full-time ser v ice.. [or the purpose of' <br />calculating additional compensation: no service credit shall be uiven for part-time or full-time <br />service outside of'this bargaining unit. <br />8.02 Longevity payments shall be made on the employee's anniversary date each vear. <br />Employees who retire and work beyond their anniversary date. shall receive a pro -rated amount <br />of their earned longevity rate until their final day of employment. <br />ARTICI,F 9 HOLIDAYS <br />9.01 All employees shall be entitled to certain holidays during the year and shall not be <br />required to work on these holidays. unless scheduled to work by the Chief of Police. In the event <br />the bargaining unit member either works or xyas not scheduled to Nyork for reasons other than <br />holiday leave on one of the follow -in;., holidays, then the bargaining unit member shall receive <br />another day off from work for reasons other than holiday leave. <br />9.02 Lach employee shall receive time and a half'( I pay for all hours worked, if required to <br />work on the below designated holidays. or receive time off in lieu thereof at the discretion of the <br />Chief of Police. if any of'the bargaining, unit members works on "Thanksgiving or Christmas Dav <br />he/she shall be compensated at two times their regular hourly rate of'pay (dourble time <br />compensation) for any and all hours worked within the tweet>' four hOLll' period ofThanksgivin(r <br />and Christmas Day. <br />(a) For the purpose of this section, the holidays shall be: New Year's Day, Good friday. <br />Laster, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4`r'). Labor Da,,. Thanksgiving Day, <br />Christmas Day, Veterans Day. President's Dav and Martin Luther hang, Jr. Day. <br />Each employee shall receive one hundred forty-four (144) hours of Holiday pay per year.
