INSTRUMENT ADMINISTRATION <br />The following outline presents PRADCO's assessment process (and relevant instruments) for <br />pre -hire Police Officer and Firefighter candidates, police and fire promotional candidates and <br />command staff coaching. <br />PRADCO will work with appropriate City officials to develop a model or benchmark to capture <br />the unique characteristics for success in the Police Officer and Firefighter roles. Typically, a <br />benchmark contains approximately seven- fourteen (7 -14) core behaviors that are associated <br />with success in each position. <br />The benchmark is will be derived from a statistical study (contrast analysis) involving current <br />job incumbents. Further, we review all relevant documentation provided by the agency that <br />would shed additional insight on all position requirements. <br />This can be used as a stand-alone assessment or as a component of the Pre -Hire <br />(Psychological) Assessment. <br />The Quick ViewTm Law Enforcement Assessment was developed with the assistance of over <br />250 police departments in the State of Ohio.
