MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 1, 2020 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any <br />member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notify the Clerk via <br />the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For <br />those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted during the appropriate portion of <br />the meeting. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of November 17, 2020 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Ordinance 2020-125 and Resolution 2020-126. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Garbage service from Republic will delayed one day. <br />• The Mayor thanked the Service Department for its hard work since the storm <br />started. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Council should have received the memo sent to the administration regarding to <br />donations. There will be at least one piece of legislation dealing with donations <br />from the food pantry. There will also be one coming before Council regarding a <br />scoreboard at the Recreation Center. <br />• Council should have also seen the memo regarding virtual meetings. The City <br />may proceed under home rule authority or the extension by the State of Ohio <br />regarding virtual meetings, which has been extended until July 2021. <br />• A memo should have also been received in regard to 2020-111. If anyone has any <br />questions they should reach out to me to discuss. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The October financial reports were sent to Council today. <br />• The budget detail was sent last Tuesday. The summaries will be sent out <br />tomorrow as I'm waiting on two divisions and trying to get them in order to make <br />it easier to find during the budget hearings. <br />
