located within the temporary space may be utilized if those restroom(s) comply with all city, county and <br />state regulations for operation of restroom facilities. <br />Pursuant to requirements of the Board of Health: <br />• The proposed temporary space shall be subjected to inspections for cleanliness and adherence to safety <br />codes required for occupancy as well as for Board of I lealth compliance. <br />• Each temporary space shall have a handwashing sink, independent of any operating restrooms, for use <br />by patrons and employees. If no hand sink is available, adequate hand sanitizing supplies for the <br />convenience of patron and employee use within the temporary space shall be made available. <br />The temporary space shall have no storage or preparation facilities for food or beverages but is permitted <br />a refrigerator. "The refrigerator in the temporary space may only hold non-time/temperature-controlled <br />for safety (non-perishable) beverages and food. The refrigerator in the temporary space is not required <br />to be commercial -grade. However, non-commercial grade refrigerators are not permitted to be <br />transferred to the Originally Licensed Food Business after closure of the temporary space. <br />• The total number of seats in the temporary space and the Originally Licensed Food Business dining <br />rooms, for each as combined, shall not be permitted to exceed the total number of seats present in the <br />Permanent Licensed Business dining room prior to COVID-19. <br />• The self -serve items for use by patrons may be stored in the temporary space and must be in compliance <br />with the COVID-19 Order as issued by the State of Ohio. All self -serve items, including condiments, <br />must be removed from tables and common areas. In lieu of bottles and dispensers, single -use disposable <br />packets or cups should be used. <br />• Food and beverages delivered to the temporary space shall be served in such a manner consistent with <br />outdoor dining guidelines and it is encouraged that food be covered while in transit from the main food <br />service operation to the temporary space location. <br />• A non-public space shall be required in the temporary space which shall contain all necessary items for <br />routine and daily cleaning as prescribed by the county health guidelines for restaurants and food services <br />premises. Such items will include, but are not limited to, a "slop" or other sink appropriate to <br />accommodate a mop and other cleaning items as required by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. <br />All other State, County and local laws, rules and regulations regarding special operations during the State <br />declared health emergency shall be followed. <br />This information is provided for informational purposes to assist interested food service operations in obtaining <br />temporary indoor dining space during the COVID-19 pandemic. <br />
