MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 2, 2021 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Law Gareau and Clerk of Council Massarolo Absent: Director of Human Resources Gallo and Director of Planning & Community Development Lieber Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. through GoToMeeting. Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested if any member of the public using a computer wished to address Council to notify the Clerk via the chat feature in GoToMeeting and they would be called on later in the meeting. For those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted during the appropriate portion of the meeting. The Council Meeting Minutes of January 5, 2021 were approved as written. The Council Meeting Minutes of January 19, 2021 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2021-11. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • Fish Fry's at Springvale will begin on February 19 and will run through Good Friday. Due to COVID, it will only be takeout orders with drive up service. As in the past, it will be a different volunteer organization each week and all tips will be donated to the organization. • Registration opens on Monday for Spring Break and Summer Camps at the Recreation Center. • NOACA has invited the City of North Olmsted to participate in its Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program aimed at providing charging infrastructure for the region's growing number of electric vehicles. NOACA will cover 100% of the associated cost. Two locations in the City have been identified. One being the Recreation Center and the other being the City Hall Campus. Director of Law Gareau: • The City participated over two days in a conference with Moody's, the bond rating agency, regarding our current borrowing. The bond rating analysis should be released in the near future.
