MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 18, 2021 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested any <br />member of the public using a computer who wished to address Council to notify the <br />Clerk via the chat feature. For those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted <br />during the appropriate portion of the meeting. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of May 5, 2021 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading: Resolutions 2021-37 and 2021-39. <br />Councilman Schumann moved to remove Resolution 2021-34 from the agenda. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Brossard, Hemann, Glassburn, Limpert, Kelly, Williamson <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2021-34 removed from agenda 7-0. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Memorial Day ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. at North Olmsted Park on <br />Monday, May 31. There will be no parade this year. <br />• The City will be evaluating its programs and facilities in light of the latest CDC <br />guidance and changes in Ohio requirements for facility capacity, masking and <br />social distancing. <br />• The Oxcart Pantry has been awarded two grants from the Greater Cleveland Food <br />Bank. The first grant will fund a large commercial grade refrigeration unit, which <br />will double our current cold storage capacity. The second will be used to purchase <br />equipment for our mobile program and drive through services. The grants total <br />between $5,000 and $6,000 with no match required from the City. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• In the matter of City of North Olmsted v. Misook Joe which is a property <br />maintenance action, it is scheduled for a bench trial on June 23, however, we are <br />
