Council Minutes of 6-1-2021 <br />Council President Jones said that is what Caucus was going to decide and Councilwoman <br />Hemann was going to clarify that during her motion. <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved for adoption with the date being extended through <br />December 31, 2021. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed <br />unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Hemann, Glassburn, Limpert, Kelly, Schumann <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. Resolution 2021-43 adopted 5-0. <br />Resolution 2021-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing the Chief of Police on behalf of the City to apply to the U.S. <br />Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) <br />for grant funding pursuant to its 2021 hiring program; further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into agreement to accept said grant funds, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Schumann moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings and formal committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed unanimously. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes: Schumann, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Glassburn <br />No: None <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Schumann moved for adoption. Resolution 2021-44 adopted 5-0. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council President Jones announced barring any unexpected announcements from the <br />State regarding gatherings Council will return to chambers after its July recess starting on <br />August 3, 2021 for its regularly scheduled meetings. <br />Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance committee meeting for Tuesday, June 15, <br />2021 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Councilman Kelly scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings committee <br />meeting for Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2021-41 and <br />Ordinance 2021-42. <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled a Public Safety meeting for Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at <br />7:30 p.m. to discuss liquor permits. <br />9 <br />
