MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 15, 2021 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Council Member Schumann <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. through GoToMeeting. <br />Due to the meeting being a virtual meeting, Council President Jones requested any <br />member of the public using a computer who wished to address Council to notify the <br />Clerk via the chat feature. For those dialing in via phone, the lines would be unmuted <br />during the appropriate portion of the meeting. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of June 1, 2021 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2021-40; First Reading: Resolution 2021-45. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• City offices will be closed on Monday, July 5`" to observe Independence Day. <br />• The Recreation Center has been full with summer programming. The City is also <br />working on summer events which kicked off the last two weeks with yoga and the <br />West Side Flea. Work is starting on fall programing and schedules. <br />• Dominion Energy is planning several major gas line replacement projects in <br />North Olmsted starting this month. More than 8,000 linear feet of pipeline along <br />Dover Center Road will be replaced. In mid-July about 2,800 linear feet of <br />pipeline along Mastic Road will be replaced, resulting in a temporary road closure <br />to through traffic. Impacted property owners are being contacted directly by <br />Dominion. <br />• Springvale golf year to date is $435,000. Last year was a record year at $258,000. <br />Golf projected for the year at this point would have been $250,000 so it's good to <br />see people out golfing. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• To provide an update regarding the dog bite cases on or around Clague Road, <br />Amanda Ramos is the original owner who had a hearing to determine what to do <br />with the dogs. With respect to her three dogs, the designated Safety Director <br />Copfer had an initial order to turn three dogs over to the City. The order was <br />subsequently ignored. The subsequent order issued by Director Copfer required <br />
