Council Minutes of 9-21-2021 purchase concrete materials and related supplies for the year 2022, as detailed in the specifications on file with the Engineer, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2021-60 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A Resolution authorizing the Senior Center Administrator to make application to the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging ("WRAAA") for a Title IIIC Nutrition Grant for 2022 and 2023 and, if awarded, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the WRAAA to accept the grant funds, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2021-61 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman Hemann. A Resolution extending the Temporary Outdoor Patio Dining Area Program until December 31, 2021, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review as this has been discussed in Caucus this evening and it provides for the health and safety of our residents as well as providing additional revenue to our restaurants. The motion was seconded by Councilman Glassburn and passed unanimously. Roll Call: Yes: Hemann, Glassburn, Brossard, Williamson, Schumann, Limpert, Kelly No: None Motion carried. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Councilman Schumann scheduled a Finance committee meeting for Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2021-60. The Planning & Community Development Director is asked to attend. Councilman Limpert scheduled a Streets & Transportation committee meeting for Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 7:10 p.m. to discuss Resolution 2021-59. The Director of Safety & Service is asked to attend. Council President Jones scheduled a Committee of the Whole committee meeting for Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the redrawing of the ward map. TRIAD Research will be present and the Director of Law is asked to attend. With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before Council, President Jones adjourned the Council meeting at approximately 8:33 p.m.
