MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 5, 2021 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & <br />Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of September 21, 2021 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2021-60. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Fat Heads race sponsored by the Mayor and Kiwanis raised $9,000. <br />• The Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Grant Project has started. See the City website <br />for information. <br />• Specialized Construction will be starting work on the Elm Road Rehabilitation <br />Project this week. The contractor is delivering notices to residents along the street. <br />• Brook Park Road construction was originally slated to be complete by the end of <br />October. ODOT's project manager has informed the City due to the increased <br />base repair, which the City is responsible for, the project will be pushed back to <br />sometime in November. <br />• The Police Station plumbing project was awarded to Crown Commercial <br />Construction. The City will meet with the contractor next week to finalize a <br />schedule. <br />• The Fire Department's grant application to FEMA for ventilation improvements <br />to Fire Station 1 was successful. The City will receive about $141,000. Safety and <br />Service staff will be meeting in the coming weeks to begin planning. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• There are two updates in the case of the dog attacks involving Amanda Ramos <br />Martinez. In the Rocky River Municipal Court the matter has been rescheduled <br />for a pretrial on October 14t". In the civil matter, service has been completed and a <br />case management conference is scheduled for October 201" <br />
