meetings of other Boards and Commissions as needed and as directed and/or <br />authorized by the Director of Planning and Community Development. The <br />Director of Planning and Community Development, in his sole discretion, shall <br />determine when attendance at other meetings is needed. <br />(e) In providing the basic services set forth in paragraphs (a) through (c) above, City <br />Engineer and Assistant City Engineer shall be available and accessible to the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development and to such other officials as <br />are authorized by the Director of Planning and Community Development a <br />minimum of four (4) days per week for four (4) hours on each day. City Engineer <br />and/or Assistant City Engineer may, but are not required, to be present at City <br />Hall on these days, but shall insure that they are nonetheless at all times <br />designated by the Director of Planning and Community Development available <br />and accessible to the Director of Planning and Community Development. The <br />Director of Planning and Community Development, in his discretion, may from <br />time to time adjust the above described weekly schedule of the City Engineer <br />and/or Assistant City Engineer by increasing or decreasing the number of hours <br />required in a particular week in accordance with work flows in the Department. <br />City Engineer and/or Assistant City Engineer shall work such adjusted schedule <br />so long as (1) it does not interfere with previously assigned projects from <br />CONSULTING ENGINEER, and (2) the average number of hours worked per <br />week over an extended period of time does not exceed the weekly hours provided <br />for in the regular schedule set forth above. In providing the basic services set <br />forth in paragraph (d) above, City Engineer and Assistant City Engineer shall be <br />available to attend all such evening meetings as directed and/or authorized by the <br />Director of Planning and Community Development. When the City Engineer and <br />Assistant City Engineer are temporarily unavailable on such days or evenings to <br />provide such basic services due to illness, vacation or similar events, they may <br />designate a qualified engineer in the CONSULTING ENGINEER's firm to <br />temporarily provide such basic services. <br />Other than the retaining fee and PERS contribution stated above, CITY ENGINEER and <br />ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER shall not receive any other wages or benefits from the CITY <br />3 <br />
