MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 18, 2022 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance and Acting Clerk of Council, Carrie Copfer, Absent: Council Member Glassburn Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers.. 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On First Reading O. 2022- 12 REPORTS Mayor Jones: • Reported on City's snow removal response on 'Sasquatchian Screamer" snow storm from a few days ago. Advised that garbage collection would be delayed one day due to the snow. • Mayor extended accolades to Patrol Officers Wyatt and Walcott who performed early CPR on a resident, thereby playing a significant role in the positive outcome. • Mayor also relayed that she is finalizing the remaining candidates for Director positions and will have those candidates available at next Special Council Meeting. Director of Law Gareau. • Commented on importance of the City's new Martin Luther King holiday. • Reported on the status of a few houses that are on the tear -down list within the City. • Updated Council with regard to the two lawsuits of North Olmsted v. Amanda Ramos and subsequent trial dates. • Updated Council on intent to file property loss lawsuits. Director of Finance Copfer: • Advised that Cuyahoga County has moved their tax date back from Jan 27'h to February 1 Oth Council President Brossard, Committee of the Whole: The Committee of the Whole met on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 7:06 p.m. Present were Councilmembers Williamson. Limpert, Hemann, Kelly, Gilchrist and Scan, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer and guests. • The following Councilmembers were appointed to the following seats on the Boards and Commissions as follows:
