MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 1, 2022 <br />Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and <br />Williamson. <br />Also Present Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones, Director of Law Gareau and Director of <br />Finance and Acting Clerk of Council, Carrie Copfer, Director of Economic <br />Development Upton, Director Kidd and guests. <br />Absent: Council President Brossard <br />President Pro Tem called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />President Pro Tem Williamson asked for a moment of silence in honor of Brenna <br />Brossard, the daughter of Council President Brossard who passed away this weekend. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules: On second reading <br />Ordinance 2022-8. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones offered sincere condolences to Council President Brossard and his <br />family. <br />• Mayor commented that the Service Department is preparing for yet another snow <br />storm and also informed Council as to the current law on parking bans and for <br />residents to contact First Energy with any power issues. <br />• Mayor Jones discussed the Economic Development Plan legislation. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• Director Gareau reported that he has met with the new Directors and is looking <br />forward to working with them in the future. <br />• Updated Council on the Amanda Ramos' lawsuits and upcoming hearings. <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee did not have a Committee <br />report but noted that he has cause to Amend Ordinance 2022-8 to add computer <br />equipment for new hires and replacement equipment for aging equipment.
