Council Minutes of 02-01-2022 <br />Glassburn moved to Amend Ordinance 2022-8. Ordinance 2022-8 as Amended adopted 7-0. <br />Councilman Kelly, Chairman of the Streets and Transportation Committee: <br />The Streets and Transportation Committee met on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:12 <br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Kelly, Glassburn and Gilchrist and Council <br />Members Williamson, Hemann, Limpert and Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor <br />Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer and guests. <br />• The first Resolution discussed was Resolution 2022-9 authorizing the City <br />Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt <br />resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets. The budget for this project was <br />$981,728.00, noting last year's rehab project cost was lower as it did not include <br />two streets that received some grant funding. The estimated cost for resurfacing <br />does not include W. 231s' Street. A grant application has been submitted to the <br />County, which will determine when the resurfacing project will be completed. <br />• Also discussed Resolution 2022-10. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer <br />to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on <br />various streets at various locations in the city. The budget for that project is <br />$85,000.00. <br />• Last discussed was Resolution 2022-11. A Resolution authorizing the City <br />Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new <br />pavement markings to various streets and locations in the City. The budget for <br />that was $135,000.00 and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7.23 p.m. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />None. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution 2022-7 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its third reading. A Resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor to purchase computer file storage services from Box.com at a <br />cost of $360,000.00 as an emergency exception to public bidding and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Glassburn moved for adoption.
