Council Minutes of 02-01-2022 Ordinance 2022-8 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2022 and declaring an emergency, as Amended. Councilman Glassburn moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed 7-0. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide asphalt resurfacing and related repairs upon city streets, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Division of Engineering, and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2022-10 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide cracksealing on various streets at various locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Division of Engineering, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2022-11 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. A Resolution authorizing the City Engineer to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets and locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Division of Engineering, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder. Resolution 2022-13 introduced and placed on first ready by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to request Statements of Qualifications ('S.O.Q.s") from qualified firms to provide professional consulting services for the development of a Strategic Economic Development Plan and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the firm selected in the Request for Qualification ("R.F.Q.") process.
