MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED APRIL 19, 2022 Present. Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert. Scarl and Williamson. Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance and Acting Clerk of Council, Carrie Copfer. Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council Meeting Minutes of January 4. 2022 were approved as written. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading Ordinance 2022-27 and Resolution 2022-28, and on first reading Resolution 2022-32, Resolution 2022-33, Resolution 2022-34, Resolution 2022-35, Resolution 2022-39, Ordinance 2022-40 and Resolution 2022-41. REPORTS Mayor Jones. • Several firefighter paramedics were sworn in as well as one promotion to Lieutenant. c Bradley Blankenship appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the North Olmsted Fire Department. .: Steven Maat appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the North Olmsted Fire Department. o David Kaczynski appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the North Olmsted Fire Department. o Shaun Kasza appointed and sworn in as Lieutenant of the North Olmsted Fire Department. • Captain Peters said a few congratulatory words on behalf of Chief Schepp and the North Olmsted Fire Department. • Mayor Jones added that she was witness to an incident that day wherein Squad 51 responded to a resident incident and expressed gratitude to those who responded. • Mayor Jones reported that Director Pinchek officially joined the team on April 11'h, and tonight marks his first official City Council meeting. Mayor went on to discuss the "egg- stravaganza' held last weekend as well as other upcoming activities. • Mayor Jones advised Council of legislation coming in May regarding Building and Property Appraisals. • Mayor Jones discussed the mandatory cyber security training for all City employees. Director of Law Gareau. • Updated Council on the City of North Olmsted vs. Amanda Ramos dog bite lawsuit noting the matter has been referred to mediation.
