MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 19, 2022 <br />Present. Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert. Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />and Acting Clerk of Council, Carrie Copfer. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of January 4. 2022 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading <br />Ordinance 2022-27 and Resolution 2022-28, and on first reading Resolution 2022-32, <br />Resolution 2022-33, Resolution 2022-34, Resolution 2022-35, Resolution 2022-39, Ordinance <br />2022-40 and Resolution 2022-41. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones. <br />• Several firefighter paramedics were sworn in as well as one promotion to Lieutenant. <br />c Bradley Blankenship appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the <br />North Olmsted Fire Department. <br />.: Steven Maat appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the North <br />Olmsted Fire Department. <br />o David Kaczynski appointed and sworn in as Firefighter Paramedic to the North <br />Olmsted Fire Department. <br />o Shaun Kasza appointed and sworn in as Lieutenant of the North Olmsted Fire <br />Department. <br />• Captain Peters said a few congratulatory words on behalf of Chief Schepp and the North <br />Olmsted Fire Department. <br />• Mayor Jones added that she was witness to an incident that day wherein Squad 51 <br />responded to a resident incident and expressed gratitude to those who responded. <br />• Mayor Jones reported that Director Pinchek officially joined the team on April 11'h, and <br />tonight marks his first official City Council meeting. Mayor went on to discuss the "egg- <br />stravaganza' held last weekend as well as other upcoming activities. <br />• Mayor Jones advised Council of legislation coming in May regarding Building and <br />Property Appraisals. <br />• Mayor Jones discussed the mandatory cyber security training for all City employees. <br />Director of Law Gareau. <br />• Updated Council on the City of North Olmsted vs. Amanda Ramos dog bite lawsuit <br />noting the matter has been referred to mediation. <br />
