Council Minutes of 05-04-2022 <br />Councilwoman Hemann moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings. Resolution 2022-37 adopted 5-0. <br />Ordinance 2022-38 introduced by Mayor Jones was given its second reading. An Ordinance <br />authorizing the Director of Economic and Community Development to request proposals for <br />professional energy conservation services and consulting for reduction of City energy <br />consumption and utility costs, further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of <br />Control, to enter into an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process. <br />Ordinance 2022-42 introduced by Mayor Jones, Council President Brossard and <br />Councilmembers Williamson. Limpert, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly and Scarl. An Ordinance <br />opting out of House Bill 172 (H. B. 172) and banning the discharge, ignition or explosion of <br />fireworks in the City of North Olmsted., and declaring an emergency <br />Ordinance 2022-43 introduced by Mayor Jones. An Ordinance authorizing the Mayor, on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted, to accept an Energized Community Grant from the Northeast Ohio <br />Public Energy Council (" NOPEC") in the amount of $82,505.00 for 2022, and further authorizing <br />the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement with NOPEC, and declaring an emergency <br />Resolution 2022-44 introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Economic and Community Development to request Statements of Qualifications (RFQ) from <br />qualified professionals to provide services required for the formation of a Transportation for <br />Livable Communities Initiatives (TLCI) Plan, and further authorizing the Mayor, following <br />approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the firm selected in the RFQ <br />process. <br />Resolution 2022-45 introduced by Mayor Jones. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise <br />for bids for the award of a contract to install diesel exhaust system improvements at Fire <br />Stations 1 & 2 for the City of North Olmsted, as detailed in the specifications on file with the <br />Service Department; and further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of <br />Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2022-46 introduced by Mayor Jones. An Ordinance establishing a new "OneOhio <br />Opioid Settlement Fund` as a special revenue fund to account for the receipt and expenditure of <br />revenues received from the State of Ohio's OneOhio Opioid Settlement.. and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />
