MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 7. 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present: Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer. <br />Absent. None <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Special Council Meeting Minutes of January 11, 2022, and the Council Meeting Minutes of <br />January 18, 2022, February 1, 2022, April 5, 2022 and April 19, 2022 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules, on Second Reading <br />Ordinance 2022-50, and on first reading Resolutions 2022-56 and 2022-58. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones. <br />• The City of North Olmsted received $150,000 in State Capital Funding for improvements <br />to North Olmsted Park. <br />• The State approved the second tranche of ARPA funding before going on recess. North <br />Olmsted will be getting a slight increase of a little over $6,000.00 in the second tranche, <br />bringing it up to $1,648,055. <br />• The City's Oxcart Food Pantry will sponsor a Mobile Produce Pantry from 2-4 p.m. <br />Monday, June 13 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road. <br />• The first West Side Flea of 2022 will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 11th, <br />at North Olmsted Community Park. Over 100 vendors will participate. <br />• Today was the last day of the 2021-2022 school year for students in the North Olmsted <br />City School District. <br />• Administration sent out examples of designs for the 1-480 Bridge to be shared on social <br />media for input. No general funds will be expended for this project. <br />• The city has applied for a $5,000 grant through Cuyahoga Arts & Culture with the <br />intention of using the funding to establish a Summer Concert Series beginning in 2023. <br />
