<br />• No Report.
<br />Director of Finance Copfer:
<br />• The unaudited general purpose financial statements for December 31, 2021, were filed
<br />electronically with the Auditors of State on May 31''. The audited comprehensive report
<br />is due on June 30'°, and will be filed as such.
<br />• On May 31", the City paid $393.468.76 for the June I" bond interest payment, which is
<br />half of the annual interest for the year, which after 25 years has gone down dramatically.
<br />Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee.
<br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met virtually on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at
<br />8:20 p.m. Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council
<br />Members Hemann, Limpert, Gilchrist and Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law
<br />Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of
<br />Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director
<br />Kearney, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, the Police Chief, Fire Chief,
<br />Chagrin Valley Dispatch Representative, Sergeant Fioritto and guests.
<br />• Discussed Resolution 2022-55 which deals with our city dispatch services. There was
<br />an extensive amount of information shared with Council. Due to outstanding questions
<br />yet to be asked, a Motion to recommend was made and passed 3-0 to hold the
<br />legislation was held in Committee.
<br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee also met on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 7:34
<br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council
<br />Members Hemann, Limpert, Gilchrist and Scan, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law
<br />Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of
<br />Economic and Community Development Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director
<br />Kearney, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, the Police Chief, Fire Chief,
<br />Chagrin Valley Dispatch Representative and guests.
<br />• Addressed additional questions by Council. Prior to the next Committee Meeting on
<br />June 14, 2022 at 7:00 p. m., Council is requesting any additional information to be
<br />submitted to Council by 430 p.m. on Friday, June 1011, to allow review of that
<br />information and pending CVD information. The meeting concluded at 7:39 p.m.
<br />Councilman Limpert, Chairman of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee:
<br />The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 7:05 p.m.
<br />Present were Committee Members Limpert, Williamson and Hemann and Council Members
<br />Glassburn, Kelly, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director
<br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development
<br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor
<br />Massarolo and guests.
<br />• Discussed was R. 2022-26 which is an Ordinance creating new Section 1139.13 entitled
<br />"Phased Development' of Chapter 1139 of the Planning and Zoning Code of the
<br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Business Districts" for the
<br />purpose of authorizing phased development plans in North Olmsted Business Districts.
<br />Currently the code allows or residential plans to be phased, but there is no such code for
<br />business plans. Discussion had with regard to timelines for said phased developments.
<br />Motion passed by a vote of 3-0 and the Committee Meeting concluded at 7:15 p.m.
<br />Councilman Limpert asked for a moment of personal privilege to thank the Community. Due to
<br />two school closings., there were a lot of community events scheduled and Councilman Limpert
