Council Minutes of 06-07-2022 <br />asked that the Administration keep Council updated on any bus schedule or traffic changes <br />coming in the Fall. <br />Councilwoman Hamann, Chairwoman of the Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee <br />The Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee met on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 7:36 <br />p.m. Present were Committee Members Hamann, Scarl and Limpert, Council Members <br />Gilchrist, Kelly and Williamson, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Assistant Law <br />Director, Human Resource Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, <br />Recreation Director and guests. <br />Discussed Ordinance 2022-51 An Ordinance authorizing the Director of Finance to <br />request proposals for professional appraisal services to perform replacement cost <br />valuation of City property, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process. <br />Chairwoman Hamann offered to committee that this is an appraisal evaluation that is <br />done periodically to ensure that all city buildings are insured at proper replacement <br />values. The motion to recommend was made by Councilwoman Hamann and seconded <br />by Vice Chairman Scarl and passed 3-0. The meeting concluded at 7:44 p.m. <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday. May 24, 2022 at 7:44 p.m. Present were Committee <br />Members Glassburn, Williamson and Limpert and Council Members Hamann, Kelly, Gilchrist <br />and Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield. Service Director Kearney, Special Assistant to the Mayor <br />Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed 2022-48, an Ordinance amending the rates of compensation for <br />administrative personnel by changing the Coordinator of the Division of Juvenile <br />Diversion from a full-time position to a part-time position and retitling the Maintenance <br />position in the Division of Wastewater with corresponding wages, for the years 2022 and <br />2023, and otherwise restating the compensation rates and descriptions for various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2022 and 2023. Motion to <br />recommend passed 3-0. <br />• Ordinance 2022-49 providing for the funding of the optional redemption of certain of the <br />City's outstanding fire station improvement refunding bonds, Series 2015, dated as of <br />December 15, 2015, and authorizing and directing the call for optional redemption of <br />those bonds. Motion to recommend passed 3-0. <br />• Ordinance 2022-50 to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the Year Ending December 31. 2022, with <br />suspension. Motion to recommend passed 3-0. <br />• Ordinance 2022-52 authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to <br />enter into an agreement with the Ohio Deferred Compensation Board to enable City <br />Employees optional participation in and contributions to Roth 457(b) Retirement Savings <br />Accounts. Motion to recommend passed 3-0. <br />• Resolution 2022-53 authorizing the Communications Manager to request proposals <br />("RFP") for Website Design Services and further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />contract for said professional services with the vendor selected in the RFP process, <br />subject to approval by the Board of Control. Motion to recommend passed 3-0. <br />Resolution 2022-54 adopting the alternative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for <br />the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2023, and submitting the same to the Cuyahoga <br />
