Council Minutes of 06-21-2022 <br />• The Mayor will be attending the grand openings of two businesses new to North Olmsted <br />tomorrow. The Ashley Furniture Outlet and Pathways Foster Care, Counseling and Post - <br />Adoption Support. <br />Assistant Law Director O'Malley: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Finance Copier: <br />• The Tax Incentive Review Committee met virtually on June 8, 2022, they unanimously <br />voted for compliance and continuation of the two active CRAB, and also for compliance <br />and continuation of the Great Northern tiff. <br />• Also provided Council with an updated projection of the North Olmsted dispatch costs <br />spreadsheet. The only change was the update for County fees to $4,200 annually, and <br />further stated that it would need to be changed once more to account for the three 911 <br />lines, noting it would then be $12,600.00. There was also a $10,000 reduction due to a <br />typo and after speaking with Councilwoman Williamson, Director Copfer stated she <br />changed the spreadsheet so that it may be easier for a non -finance person to <br />understand. <br />Councilwoman Williamson. Chairwoman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />The Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, June 14. 2022, at 7.05 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Williamson, Kelly and Glassburn and Council Members <br />Hemann, Limpert, Gilchrist and Scarl, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Human Resources Director Kidd, Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Upton, Safety Director Scofield, Service Director Kearney, and guests. <br />• Discussed was Resolution 2022-19, which is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into a memorandum of understanding with the North Olmsted City School District to <br />establish policies and procedures governing the School Resource Officer (S. R.O.) <br />Program, and declaring an emergency. Law Director Gareau stated this Resolution was <br />an agreement between the North Olmsted Schools and the City.. stating there will now <br />be two School Resource Officers, one full-time at the High School. and one part-time at <br />the Middle School. The Law Director requested the Resolution be amended to accept <br />the substitute Exhibit A. Councilwoman Williamson moved to Amend Resolution 2022-19 <br />to accept the substitute Exhibit A. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kelly and <br />passed 6-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes. Williamson, Kelly, Limpert. Scarl, Hemann, Gilchrist <br />No: None <br />Abstain. Glassburn <br />Motion to Amend Resolution 2022-19 passed by a vote of 6-0. <br />• The motion to recommend Resolution 2022-19 passed by a vote of 2-0. Councilwoman <br />Williamson also discussed Liquor License Permit #4162501, Italian Restaurant Group <br />LLC, DBA Romanos Macaroni Grill in Committee, noting the Police Department had no <br />objections to its approval and it was recommended by a vote of 2-0. Councilwoman <br />Williamson moved to not object to Liquor License Permit #4162501, Italian Restaurant <br />Group LLC, DBA Romanos Macaroni Grill. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Kelly and passed 7-0. <br />
