Council Minutes of 01-25-2022 <br />No. None <br />Motion carried. Liquor permit 03207030440.. Bob Evans Restaurants LLC not objected to by a <br />vote of 7-0 <br />Councilman Glassburn, Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday.. January 25, 2022 at 7'.04 p.m. Present were <br />Committee Members Glassburn, Williamson and Limpert and Council Members Hemann, Kelly, <br />Gilchrist and Scarl, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones, Law Director Gareau, Finance <br />Director Copfer, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• Discussed was Ordinance 2022-8. An Ordinance to make appropriations for current <br />expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the Year Ending <br />December 31, 2022 and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Glassburn <br />noted this was the temporary budget with the permanent budget coming soon and that <br />Director Copfer had explained what was highlighted in the temporary budget. The <br />legislation was favorably recommended to Council by a vote of 3-0 and the Committee <br />Meeting concluded at 7.12 p.m. <br />• Councilman Glassburn confirmed this legislation would be addressed at the next Council <br />meeting <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist, Chairwoman of the Intra -Governmental Relations Committee: <br />The Intra -Governmental Relations Committee met on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:22 p.m. <br />Present were Committee Members Gilchrist, Hemann, Scarl and Council Members Williamson, <br />Glassburn, Limpert and Kelly, Council President Brossard, Mayor Jones. Law Director Gareau, <br />Finance Director Copfer, Special Assistant to the Mayor Massarolo and guests. <br />• The purpose of the Committee meeting was to interview three nominees for Director <br />positions. The nominees were Jennifer Scofield, for Director of Safety; Kevin Kearney <br />for Director of Service, and Lisa Kidd for Director of Human Resources. <br />• First. Ms. Scofield was interviewed by the Committee and members of Council and was <br />appointment was recommended for the Director of Safety position by a vote of 3-0. <br />• Second, was Mr. Kearney, who was also interviewed by the Committee and members of <br />Council, and appointment was recommended to the Director of Service Department <br />position by a vote of 3-0. <br />• The last interview was of Ms. Kidd, who was interviewed by the Committee and <br />members of Council, and appointment was recommended to the Director of Human <br />Resources position by a vote of 3-0 and the Committee meeting concluded at 8.46 p.m. <br />Councilwoman Gilchrist moved to approve the appointment of Jennifer Scofield to the Director <br />of Safety position. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Hemann and passed 5-2. <br />Roll Call. <br />Yes'. Gilchrist.. Hemann, Glassburn, Scarl, Limpert <br />No Kelly, Williamson <br />Motion carried. Ms. Scofield appointed as the Director of Safety by a vote of 5-2. <br />Councilman Glassburn voted yes with comment to thank the nominee for withstanding Council's <br />questions and believes starting on a good foundation will prevent problems in the future, and <br />looks forward to working with Ms. Scofield. <br />
